Sleepovers at the Science Center!

girls in sleeping bags Have you ever wanted to spend the night in a museum? Here’s your chance! Explore the Science Center after dark, check out hundreds of hands-on exhibits, watch a special OMNIMAX® movie on our giant screen, enjoy a late night snack, then grab your sleeping bag and spend the night among your favorite exhibits! Plus, you can enjoy free admission to Great Lakes Science Center the entire next day!

Recommended for ages 6 – 12.

Someone – or some thing – has been tampering with a rare Egyptian artifact. Analyze fingerprints, decipher hieroglyphics, perform DNA analysis and catch the culprit! Includes admission to the Lost Egypt exhibition and the OMNIMAX movie, Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs.

Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science was developed by COSI in cooperation with the Science Museum Exhibit collaborative and was built by the Science Museum of Minnesota. Artifacts are on loan from the Brooklyn Museum and the Academy of Natural Sciences. Photography © 2008 Brad Feinknopf.

Use LEGO NXT technology to design, build and program a robot. Then, challenge other robots in mini-competitions that test your speed, accuracy and ability. Includes admission to the OMNIMAX movie, Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag (Boy Scouts) or Born To Be Wild (Girl Scouts).

Learn about stars, comets, black holes and more. Build and launch a rocket, train to become an astronaut, visit the STARLAB Planetarium and explore the first phase of our new NASA Glenn Visitor Center galleries. Includes admission to the OMNIMAX movie, Hubble.

Pricing

All sleepovers are $39 per person. Sleepovers start at 6 pm and include late-night snack, light breakfast, parking and free general admission to the Great Lakes Science Center the next day. All youth must be accompanied by adult.
