Great Lakes Science Center is making it easy to plan a special day for dad with a Stay Curious weekend Father’s Day edition half price admission deal!

On Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 17 from noon to 5 p.m. all dads (or uncles, grandpas, brothers, stepdads, etc.) will receive half off the price of any general admission or combo admission ticket.

Guests of all ages can check out amazing science demos, the Lift Off! Big Science Show and hands-on activities including a special BASF Kids’ Lab: pHun Factor where guests will learn all about pH levels, acids and bases, and a Wonders of Water activity sponsored by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.

    • Thermal, chemical, potential, kinetic, oh my! Energy is all around us as we investigate how energy can transform in a variety of ways, sometimes with explosive results!
  • Noon: NEORSD Wonders of Water hands-on workshop
    • Learn what’s lurking in your water that you can’t see or smell, use chemistry and technology to see the unseen, and use your imagination to engineer a robotic micro-organism that is yours to keep.
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: BASF Kids’ Lab hands-on activity: “pHun Factor”
    • Get hands-on and explore the amazing colors that indicate if something is an acid or a base.
  • 2:15 p.m. Lift Off! Big Science Show  
    • Before you can launch into outer space, you must first get off the ground. Things go up and come down, sometimes with a bang, in this high energy demonstration.
