Grade 8 - Biomedical Technology
Technological advancements are helping us live healthier and more productive lives. Join us as we explore the processes of brain function, body movement, limb replacement and computer-controlled life-support systems – as well as the assistive potential of robots!
- Make It Happen: study subjects ranging from the defense mechanism of cells to mind-controlled prosthetic arms! Scholars will also use Great Lakes Science Center’s “Spark Space” to design and build working biomedical devices.
- Meet the Experts: meet doctors and health professionals who do everything from patient care to biomedical research and design.
- Discover STEM Careers: take field trips to sites such as local hospitals or health innovation enterprises.

Scholarships
