Program Details: The program will begin at 8:45 P.M. and is expected to last 40 minutes. We ask for everyone’s attention during the program as we honor our four 2022 Ion Award Honorees: Dr. Jeanette Grasselli Brown, Ms. Margot J. Copeland, Mr. Richard W. Pogue, Esq., and Mr. William R. Seelbach. Due to the event’s overwhelming success, the program will be streamed on monitors within the building to accommodate guests throughout the museum.

Food: Food will be both passed hors d’oeuvres beginning at 7:00 P.M. at stations throughout three floors of the Science Center, featuring nostalgic foods with an elevated flair. Food stations will have labels for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options for guests. Dessert stations and coffee service will begin at 8:30 P.M. Please note- Food stations and bars will be closed during the formal event program and reopened after the presentation.

Entertainment: This is a 25th Anniversary Celebration, and we are encouraging guests to explore and interact with entertainment options on all floors. Activities included are NASA Glenn Research Center interactive demonstrations, five hands-on Science Center STEM Carts, access to the Science of Rock n’ Roll Temporary Exhibit, photo stations throughout the building, and the world premiere of Spacewalk: A VR Experience with Astronaut Terry Virts and Former NASA Mission Control Specialist Matthew Gast.

Fundraising at the Event: We will have a special Giving Station located on the first floor where attendees can make 100% tax-deductible donations to support the mission of Great Lakes Science Center. Once guests donate, we will take their photo, which will be added to a unique mosaic mural we will showcase throughout the event.
