Early Childhood Workshops 2019/2020
Recommended ages 7 and younger accompanied by an adult.
Jumpstart your young scientist's education! The Science Center's early childhood workshops are free with paid admission and encourage pre-kindergarten children and their favorite adult to explore the world of STEM! Drop in on the first Saturday of the month between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and enjoy 30 minutes of age-appropriate tinkering activities. Workshops can be messy, so please dress appropriately.
This year, we are so excited to prototype brand NEW programming! Grab your science safety glasses and be the first to try out our newest experiments!
So far, our little scientists have explored:
- Newton's Laws of Motions by designing and creating marble runs
- Circuitry by using Play-Doh, batteries and wiring to make a simple circuit
- Engineering by challenging themselves to build cantilever bridges out of LEGO Bricks and test the effects of different weights
We can't wait to see what's next!
