The Cleveland Learning Experience for Science Collaborative
Great Lake Science Center is excited to host all sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) for The Cleveland Learning Experience for Science Collaborative (CLE4SCI). Thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, this program is free of charge to your school, including busing.
Programs are available October – May and can be booked for a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
We prefer hosting your full group of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in one day when possible. However, if you have one or two grades interested, we would be happy to host whoever has the availability to join.
If you have other grades interested in visiting the Science Center, they can request free field trip admission separately under our Title 1 funding program.
Visit Details
Thanks to our donors and sponsors, Great Lakes Science Center will schedule and pay for the busing necessary for your group to visit.
Groups arrive at the Science Center between 9:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. The first workshops begin at 10:30 a.m. Other workshop sessions will be scheduled for groups of over 30 students in a grade. We will provide you with a full itinerary and map for the day when you arrive. Groups typically depart no later than 1:15 p.m., per CMSD’s busing requirements.
We will assign a group lunch space for you at a scheduled time during your visit. We recommend bagged lunches, but we do not provide any refrigerated storage. Please bring your coolers or insulated bags which we will collect and transport around the Science Center for you. Our café is also available for anyone to purchase food here.
