CLEVELAND (March 3, 2025) – Defy gravity, look to the future and collide with destiny as Great Lakes Science Center presents three great cinematic adventures during DOME Movies After Dark.
The ongoing, monthly Thursday night movie series at the Science Center kicks off on March 20 with the Oscar-nominated “Wicked” starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. The 2024 blockbuster adaptation of the Broadway musical was one of the biggest hits of the year, earning 10 Oscar nominations, and winning two.
On April 17, see the Academy Award-winning special effects of “Interstellar” on the big screen. The science fiction epic, directed by Christopher Nolan, stars Matthew McConaughey as an ex-NASA pilot leading a team of scientists on a search for a new home for humanity.
The Science Center rounds out the spring with “Titanic.” The 1997, James Cameron directed film, took home 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song. The star-studded cast includes Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher and Bill Paxton.
Watch these thrilling blockbusters projected on the DOME’s screen with 11,600 watts of ultra-real digital sound, creating a movie going experience like no other. All movies start at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10.95 for adults and $8.95 for children ages 2 to 12 ($8.95 and $6.95 for Members). The Science Center is now open late on Thursday nights, so guests can come early and explore the exhibits and the NASA Glenn Visitor Center. Tickets paired with Science Center admission are $24.95 for adults and $19.95 for children.
