Dog adoption event set for February 8 at Great Lakes Science Center

CLEVELAND (January 3, 2025) – In honor of Great Lakes Science Center’s current special exhibition Dogs! A Science Tail, the museum is partnering with several local agencies to present Canine Chemistry, its first ever dog adoption event!

Science Center names new vice president of education

CLEVELAND (November 15, 2024) – As Northeast Ohio’s STEM HQ, the leadership role of the vice president of education is a crucial position in serving Great Lakes Science Center’s mission to make science, technology, engineering and math come alive.

A Science Tail, a richly interactive exhibition for humans, opening Friday, November 8 at Great Lakes Science Center! Annual Manufacturing Day at Science Center gives area students a glimpse into the future of industry

CLEVELAND (September 26, 2024) – Great Lakes Science Center will host more than 600 middle and high school students during its fourth annual Manufacturing Day on Monday, October 7, presented by Rockwell Automation, with additional major support from Applied Industrial Technologies and Swagelok. The event is a unique showcase of the modern manufacturing industry designed to give area students exposure to future career possibilities. The Science Center will be closed to the general public for this workforce development program.
 

Great Lakes Science Center receives funding from state to help build new water technology exhibit

CLEVELAND (August 27, 2024) – Great Lakes Science Center received $500,000 from the State of Ohio’s capital budget bill this summer, funding that will go toward the construction of a new water technology exhibit. 
 

FREE youth admission day at Science Center funded by gift from Wenk Charitable Fund

Don’t miss the chance to take advantage of FREE general admission for all youth ages 2-12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at the Science Center, featuring live science shows, hundreds of hands-on exhibits, and our special temporary exhibition for summer TapeScape: International Tape Station. 

This special summer day is the third of five free youth days that are funded through a generous gift from the Joan P. Wenk Charitable Fund over the next several years. 

TapeScape returns to Great Lakes Science Center

Science Center set to open Cleveland Creates Gallery, new permanent exhibit dedicated to manufacturing technology
