CLEVELAND (April 30, 2024) – Great Lakes Science Center is excited to announce the return of TapeScape, one of the most popular and requested exhibitions in the Science Center’s history! Beginning May 24, the Science Center will welcome guests aboard TapeScape: International Tape Station!
 

CLEVELAND (February 2, 2024) – Come February 24, when guests enter the main exhibits area on the first floor of Great Lakes Science Center, they will be greeted with an all-new permanent exhibition gallery just beyond the familiar blue welcome arch.

CLEVELAND (June 24, 2022) –  Don’t miss the chance to take advantage of FREE general admission for all youth ages 2-12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at the Science Center, featuring the NASA Glenn Visitor Center and special activities presented by NASA’s Glenn Research Center. Guests also will have access to our special temporary exhibition The Science of Rock N’ Roll. 

The July 9 event is the first of five free youth days that will be funded through a generous gift from the Joan P. Wenk Charitable Fund over the next five years. 

CLEVELAND (April 20, 2022) – Great Lakes Science Center’s hands-on, head-to-head engineering fundraiser Design & Build returns for its 11th annual competition Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

CLEVELAND (February 21, 2022) – Make Them Know Your Name (MTKYN), Cleveland Browns cornerback (and Nordonia High School graduate) Denzel Ward’s heart health foundation, recently donated three new automated external defibrillators (AED) to Great Lakes Science Center. While the AEDs were delivered to the Science Center a few weeks ago, an official recognition was presented to the Science Center on Saturday at the Cleveland All-Star Fitness Expo at FirstEnergy Stadium.

CLEVELAND (January 31, 2022) – Guests visiting Great Lakes Science Center will soon get the chance to experience a new engineering design challenge exhibit, thanks to a partnership with NOPEC, that invites them to build, test and refine their own tabletop wind turbines. 
 

CLEVELAND (January 14, 2022) – Great Lakes Science Center is set to unveil a new periodic table of chemical elements exhibit when it reopens to the public on Saturday, thanks to a donation from the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair (NEOSEF).
 
NEOSEF donated the funds for the exhibit in honor of Dr. Glenn Brown and Dr. Jeanette Grasselli Brown. It was dedicated at a private ceremony during the Science Center’s current closure for cleaning and maintenance.
