Great Lakes Science Center elects Steve Karklin as next chairman of the board of directors

CLEVELAND  (December 10, 2019) – Great Lakes Science Center’s Board of Directors today elected board member Steve Karklin to serve as the ninth chairperson in the museum board’s history. Karklin succeeds outgoing Chairman David Peace. 
 

Holiday pajama party returns to Great Lakes Science Center for two Saturday mornings in December

CLEVELAND   (November 25, 2019) – The North Pole awaits! The modern holiday classic “The Polar Express” returns to Great Lakes Science Center for two special Pajama-Rama screenings this December, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 14 and Saturday, December 21 in the Cleveland Clinic DOME Theater.  
 

NASA's Glenn Research Center to make special public presentation at Great Lakes Science Center on Orion spacecraft!

CLEVELAND  (November 22, 2019) – NASA’s Orion spacecraft will soon transport the first woman and next man to the moon as part of the Artemis I mission. But before that can happen, the capsule will undergo environmental testing at NASA Glenn’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. The thermal tests being conducted at Plum Brook will subject the spacecraft to the rigors of space travel.  
 

Give your kids the gift of STEM over winter break with Camp Curiosity!

CLEVELAND  (November 19, 2019) – Don’t let your kids get frozen to the couch during their winter break from school this year! Bring them down to Camp Curiosity at Great Lakes Science Center for a hands-on day packed with interactive science camp activities! 
 
Kicking off on Thursday, December 26, the Science Center has six different themes for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade to choose from, including LEGOs, robots, rockets, chemistry, engineering and physics! Camps run December 26, 27, 30, 31 and January 2, 3. 
 

Snoopy to help Great Lakes Science Center celebrate NASA's next space exploration mission

CLEVELAND  (November 1, 2019) – Snoopy, the world’s most famous beagle, is coming to Great Lakes Science Center on Thursday, November 7 to help celebrate NASA’s mission to land the first woman and next man on the moon. 

NASA’s Glenn Research Center will make the day extra special by presenting free admission for all Ohio schools.
