Science of Rock N’ Roll exhibition takes center stage at Great Lakes Science Center starting March 25

Denzel Ward’s heart health foundation, MTKYN, donates AED machines to Science Center

CLEVELAND (February 21, 2022) – Make Them Know Your Name (MTKYN), Cleveland Browns cornerback (and Nordonia High School graduate) Denzel Ward’s heart health foundation, recently donated three new automated external defibrillators (AED) to Great Lakes Science Center. While the AEDs were delivered to the Science Center a few weeks ago, an official recognition was presented to the Science Center on Saturday at the Cleveland All-Star Fitness Expo at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Science Center and NOPEC collaborate to launch new hands-on wind turbine exhibit

CLEVELAND (January 31, 2022) – Guests visiting Great Lakes Science Center will soon get the chance to experience a new engineering design challenge exhibit, thanks to a partnership with NOPEC, that invites them to build, test and refine their own tabletop wind turbines. 
 

The Science Center’s new periodic table exhibit honors local husband and wife scientists

CLEVELAND (January 14, 2022) – Great Lakes Science Center is set to unveil a new periodic table of chemical elements exhibit when it reopens to the public on Saturday, thanks to a donation from the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair (NEOSEF).
 
NEOSEF donated the funds for the exhibit in honor of Dr. Glenn Brown and Dr. Jeanette Grasselli Brown. It was dedicated at a private ceremony during the Science Center’s current closure for cleaning and maintenance.
