CLEVELAND (August 4, 2021) – Get your best “oooohh and aaaaahhhhh” face ready and celebrate Labor Day Weekend with Great Lakes Science Center aboard the historic Steamship William G. Mather for the return of the Air Show Deck Party!

On Saturday, September 4 through Monday, September 6, guests can grab a spot on the deck of the ship to enjoy a unique perspective on the high flying performances taking place over the lakefront. The daily hours for the Deck Party event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tickets are $19 per person ($16 for Members). Tickets include on and off access to the ship for the day. Food and beverages can be purchased inside the Science Center at the Café (no alcohol is allowed on the ship). Guests should bring their own lawn or camp chair, as seating is not provided. Availability is limited and advance tickets are highly recommended.

Masks must be worn at all times indoors, including while entering the ship. Masks may be removed once seated outdoors on the ship’s deck socially distant from other guests. Parking is available in the Science Center’s attached garage for $8 ($7 for Members). General admission to the Science Center is not included with Deck Party tickets. After Labor Day Weekend, the Mather will resume a normal fall schedule for the first time since 2019. Fall hours will be Saturdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5 p.m. through the end of October. Mather-only tickets are $8.95 for adults and $5.95 for children age 2-12.

Mather tickets can also be combined with general Science Center admission tickets for an additional $5.

(Editor’s note: The Science Center’s fall operating schedule will begin Tuesday, September 7. Fall hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The Science Center will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays and for all home day Browns games. The Science Center will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, September 6 for Labor Day.)
