CLEVELAND (September 18, 2025) – This fall, Great Lakes Science Center will get into the spirit of Halloween as it continues its DOME Movies After Dark series with the 2025 supernatural horror film “Sinners” in October.
Starring Michael B. Jordan in dual roles as twin brothers Elijah “Smoke” Moore and Elias “Stack” Moore, who are seeking to leave their troubled lives behind when they return to their hometown only to be confronted with a greater evil waiting there for them. The film is the first original blockbuster for writer-director Ryan Coogler. The film also stars Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku and Jayme Lawson. Two screenings of ‘Sinners’ are planned on October 23 and October 30.
Then on November 20, take to the skies with Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick,” with a cast that includes Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller and the late Val Kilmer. The 2022 film, Kilmer’s last, follows Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as he returns to the U.S. Navy’s TOPGUN program where he confronts his past as he trains younger pilots.
Finally, on December 18, take a break from the pre-holiday rush with “The Avengers,” starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johannsson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson as they battle to save the Earth from alien invaders. Scenes for the 2012 blockbuster were filmed in Cleveland, Parma and NASA’s Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility near Sandusky, Ohio.
Watch these thrilling blockbusters projected on the DOME’s screen with 11,600 watts of ultra-real digital sound, creating a movie going experience like no other. All movies start at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10.95 for adults and $8.95 for children ages 2 to 12. The Science Center is now open late on Thursday nights, so guests can come early and explore the exhibits and the NASA Glenn Visitor Center.
