CLEVELAND (August 12, 2025) – “Be There or Be Square” as Great Lakes Science Center launches its new family-friendly Sunday Morning at the Movies series with the 2025 fantasy adventure comedy, “A Minecraft Movie.”
 
Shown on the big screen of the Cleveland Clinic DOME Theater, the series kicks off at the Science Center on Sunday, August 31. Visit the magical world of Minecraft with four misfits who are pulled through a mysterious portal into the bizarre cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. They then must embark on a quest to find their way home. The blockbuster film, starring Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Hansen and Emma Myers, was nominated for five Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, with Black and Myers taking home awards for their performances. 
 
Then on Sunday, September 14, take to the skies with Toothless and Hiccup in the 2025 live-action version of “How to Train Your Dragon.” The thrilling live-action remake of the 2010 animated feature stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler and Nick Frost in the heartwarming story of a young Viking who befriends a dragon.
 
Then, on September 28, nobody gets left behind as “Lilo and Stitch” arrive on the big screen in the 2025 live-action Disney film. Starring Maia Kealoha and Sydney Agudong as sisters who adopt an unusual pet, Stitch, a runaway alien lab experiment. Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance, Amy Hill, Tia Carrere, Kaipo Dudoit and Hannah Waddingham round out the all-star cast.
  
Each fun-filled film will be paired with breakfast-style concessions and shown on the DOME’s screen with 11,600 watts of ultra-real digital sound, creating a movie-going experience like no other. All movies start at 9 a.m., and tickets are $10.95 for adults and $8.95 for children aged 2 to 12 years. Families who want to make a day of it can pair their movie tickets with Science Center admission – $24.95 for adults and $19.95 for children – and explore the exhibits after the show.
