CLEVELAND (November 22, 2019) – NASA’s Orion spacecraft will soon transport the first woman and next man to the moon as part of the Artemis I mission. But before that can happen, the capsule will undergo environmental testing at NASA Glenn’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. The thermal tests being conducted at Plum Brook will subject the spacecraft to the rigors of space travel.
The Science Center invites the public to join NASA Glenn employees for a free special presentation on Orion and Artemis I by NASA Orion Program Manager Mr. Mark Kirasich from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26 in the Science Center’s Reinberger Auditorium. After the presentation there will be time for audience Q&A, live science demonstrations, and free general admission to the Science Center.
